Iraqi Army Advisor
In September 2005, Steven began service as a Military Transition Team Leader designated to
train, deploy, and fight along side a newly formed Iraqi Infantry Battalion. During his combat
service he:
Drive to See America   
When he returned from Iraq Steven embarked on a month long road trip across the United
States seeing friends and family.  He fulfilled this promise to himself witnessing the greatness
of America and has some great pictures he took to prove it.

Steven mobilized and deployed with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard on the first
deployment to combat since WWII. He returned home in June 2006.
Steven currently serves as assistant operations officer in the 2nd Brigade Special Troops
Batallion 2nd Brigade Combat Team 28th Infantry Division.  He is in his tenth year of Service in
the United States Army.

About Steven
Master of Public Admistration in Urban and Regional Affairs
Steven received his Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh's
Graduate School of Public and International Affairs
in 2004.  

While finishing his degree,  he worked with the Local Government Academy in the City of
Alliquippa, PA- an Act 47 financially distressed municipality, where he was further exposed to the
many facets of local government attempting to solve the complicated challenges in post
industrial environment.  In Alliquippa, he was able to complete the first full accountability of the
municipality's property.  

Steven received a minor in Security and Intelligence Studdies while at Pitt as well

World Traveler
Steven is a world traveler and feels that there is no better way to study the world than to travel it.
He has traveled to Austria, Canada, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Holland, Hungary,
Iraq, Ireland, Kuwait, Mexico, Poland, Switzerland, Scotland, Wales, and has visited 49 of the
50 States in the Union.
